If you've read my previous book reviews you'll notice that I'm very much into crime and thrillers. However, I'm not the type of person who limits themselves to one genre. When I received an email saying there's an opportunity to be a part of a blog tour for this book I applied straight away! I'm a very family oriented person and I knew that I would love this book.
This book has made me
feel so many emotions. You feel something different towards each character but even though you feel such a plethora of emotions, it isn't overwhelming. I like that the focus is clearly on the three main characters and even though there are a few minor characters, they are relevant to the story, and once again it's not overwhelming because you don't even notice them that much. I love the relationships and bonds between the different characters because they feel real.
I am not a big fan of physics but the way Hayes has incorporated physics and astronomy facts into the story was phenomenal. She actually makes me want to find out more which is unbelievable. The story is easy to follow but just like any other book it requires concentration.
I read Relativity in a space
of just a few days. I couldn’t put it
down and when I was nearing the end, I had to have a break because I started to feel upset as I didn't want it to finish! Although the book isn't long, I wouldn't classify it as a light read because the characters deal with some complex issues.
It's not possible to give this book a rating that is not 5 stars. I have to say this is one of the best books I have read in my entire life. There isn’t one part of the book that I didn’t like. I really hope Antonia
Hayes is writing another book because she is so talented to be able to make the
reader feel so much and get attached to the characters. The story is great and the characters are well developed so what else can I say? I strongly recommend this book and even if you don't read this kind of genre books I think it's worth to make an exception!
Antonia Hayes dedicated this book to families that have been affected by shaken baby syndrome and in memory of those babies who didn't survive. I admire how Hayes is trying to raise awareness of shaken baby syndrome and I think more authors should take note and write about little known issues like this because even if it helps one person, it's still worth it.
