Lisa Yyland - a pregnant sixteen year old, gets kidnapped on her way to school and taken to a remote location. The police end up thinking she run away and don't search for her as they would a kidnapped girl. While captive, Lisa plots revenge against her abductors in order to save her life and that of her unborn baby. She is methodical and doesn't waste any time. Have her captors made a big mistake in abducting her?

Hi there! Today I welcome you to my stop of the blog tour for The Method by Shannon Kirk.

The story of Lisa's abduction is told from two views - Lisa Yyland's and Agent Liu's, seventeen years after the actual event. You're guaranteed to be on edge throughout the whole book and you will not want to put it down! The story is original and you'll be in awe of how Shannon Kirk managed to create such a masterpiece.

Although it's not a short book, it's fast-paced and you will race through it. Kirk's way with words will leave you craving more.

It's fair to say, you will never meet anyone like the character of Lisa Yyland (if you do let me know) and that's what makes her character so great. Some people may say that the story is far-fetched and no pregnant sixteen year old would behave like Lisa but Kirk's writing honestly makes you believe she exists. Lisa's character is very cold and so hard to connect with, but you end up falling in love with her and admiring her. As for the other characters, Agent Liu and 'Lola' were just as compelling as Lisa and the abductors? When you find out what happens to them, you are bound to smile (even if it makes you look a bit like a sociopath!).

I can't tell you how pleased I am with the ending! Finally, a book ending that leaves you feeling satisfied! The storytelling of Lisa's days in captivation is great but 'the days after' match up to it as well. I'm pretty confident that when you finish this book, you will smile and this story will stay with you for a long time.

The book has honestly left me speechless and I have no idea what else to tell you about it except for recommending that you read it!

I gave this book a rating of five stars because well, it deserves nothing less! You can tell Kirk put a lot of work into researching and writing this story because I have never read a book that flew so easily with such detail. It's original and one of a kind, if anyone wants to know how to write a fantastic thriller, this book is it! I can't recommend this book enough! If you're into crime and thrillers then don't hesitate, buy the book now!

Rating: 4/5
